西東京カレッジの学生たちが未来に向かい希望ある人生を歩いて行けますように、
元気いっぱいで授業する牧野先生。
学生から大きい信頼され、"マッキー"って呼ばれる大人気先生についてご紹介いたします。

Leveraging my experience living abroad, I have built a career in training foreign technical interns for corporations and graduate schools, as well as teaching Japanese language. With the hope that the students at Nishi Tokyo College can walk towards a future with optimism, I, Professor Makino, teach my classes with energy and enthusiasm. Trusted by students and affectionately known as "Macky," I am pleased to introduce this highly popular teacher.

About
Japanese language education

大学を卒業する時、教授から、
「日本に来て日本語を学ぶ学生は様々な理由で来ます｡しかし理由の如何に関わらず、
こんな難しい日本語をよくぞ学んでくれる、ある意味尊敬にも似た気持ちを忘れずに！」と言われました。
その言葉を肝に銘じ日々学生と向き合っています｡

“未来・希望”好きな言葉です。
この学校で学んだ学生達が未来に向かい希望ある人生を歩いて行けるよう、
きょうもワクワクしながら教室に向かいます♪。

Upon graduating from university, a professor said to me, "Students who come to Japan to learn Japanese do so for various reasons. Regardless of the reasons, never forget the somewhat respectful feeling towards those who manage to learn such a challenging language!" I take these words to heart and face each day engaging with students.

"Future" and "hope" are words I love. Hoping that the students I teach at this school can walk towards a future with optimism and hope, I head to the classroom with excitement every day.♪

It's the most challenging because it's a country that doesn't use kanji. After practicing many times, when I finally say, "I did it! I could read it!" Professor Macky applauds and says, "Amazing." Feeling the warmth of Japanese culture, I've gained joy beyond just studying, and it has motivated me to work even harder!

漢字を使わない国なので一番難しいです｡何回も練習し、”かけた！読めた！”と言った時マッキー先生は思わず拍手をして
“すごい”と言ってくれます｡日本文化の温かさを感じ、勉強以上の喜びをもらえて、もっと頑張りたいというやる気になりました！

会話の授業は”生教材”を使い日本語の勉強はすごく面白く感じます。
学生がペアになり質問、答えるなど体を使ったり、
日本の文化や日常生活にも触れながらの話題も多く、実際の生活にも役に立ってありがたいです。

In conversation classes, using "real-life materials" makes studying Japanese very interesting. Students pair up, ask and answer questions, and even use their bodies. There are many topics that touch on Japanese culture and daily life, which is helpful and appreciative in real-life situations.
